JoAnn (Kosbau) Corson, 70, of Waverly, Iowa, died peacefully on Friday morning, November 3, 2023, at the Waverly Health Center from complications of heart and lung disease. Jo was born on February 10, 1953, at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital in Waverly, Iowa, delivered by Dr. Vincent H. Carstensen. Jo was the daughter of Paul Sager and Elaine Ann (Norman) Kosbau. Jo was baptized on March 15,1953 and confirmed on May 5, 1968, both at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Waverly. Jo attended grade school in Waverly and in 1971, graduated from the Waverly-Shell Rock High School in Waverly. In her school years Jo was active in Cheerleading, Masquers, Candy Stripers, Home Economics Club, W-SR Pep Club, the musical “South Pacific” and Mixed Chorus. JoAnn is the wife of IFDA Member Steve Corson.
