We are looking to add an intern/apprentice to our team. Our firm has three locations in a primarily rural area in Iowa, with our main location in Le Mars. Position Summary:
As a Nighttime Funeral Director/Embalmer, this individual will be responsible for all aspects of care center operations, including responding to first calls, embalming, completing cremations, preparation of decedents, and other related duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to first call notifications promptly and professionally
- Perform embalmings and prepare decedents in accordance with company standards
- Carry out cremation procedures with care and attention to detail
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with care center maintenance and overall readiness.
- Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Support families and uphold the dignity of those in our care
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer or Intern in the State of Iowa, or eligible for license reciprocity.
- Prior embalming and cremation experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during overnight hours.
- Strong attention to detail, discretion and professionalism.
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday Overnights
